Metcalf and I race winter up the S. Ridge of Superior
hoping for one last blast up the S. Ridge, and my first since my elbow surgery – Peter and I take off from work a bit early and charge up the S. Ridge – possibly the last ascent of the year before the snow hit the next day.
Rumple turns THREE
It’s hard to believe, but Rumple turned three today.
He had a nice, mellow day – then an exciting fancy dinner up Millcreek with his girlfriend Millie.
Elbow Surgery
Kolin goes for his fourth surgery in 5 years.
I’d been battling elbow tendonitis for about 18 months. I had tried everything – rest, physical therapy, acupuncture, three cortisone shots, etc, etc – and just couldn’t get it under control. I hadn’t been climbing and it got so bad that I couldn’t even open a door or a lift a beer – so it was time for the chop.
A one hour procedure, home by lunch, missed a few days of work, and anticipated four month recovery and I’d be as good as new…
