the Loss of a Legend |
though we knew it was coming,
it didn't make it any easier - we say goodbye to our brown boy - ellis

Ellis suffered what appeared to
be a stroke while I was out with him in the BD parking lot today at lunch.
I rushed him to the emergency vet where they got him stabilized and ran
several tests. Ellen met me shortly afer where given all the circumstances
we had to make the tough heart wrenching decision to say goodbye to our
wonderful brown man. Needless to say we are devastated.
Ellis was 15 and a half years old and obviously a very big part of our
lives, bringing us endless smiles and joy each and every day. He will
be dearly missed. |

one year since losing Yukon - Yuki

it was a year ago this morning that
we suddenly lost our dear yellow Yukon.
It hasn't been easy on us. I had been trying to make a scrapbook for the
last year with not much luck - just too hard. I eventually set a goal to
get it done before the one year anniversary of his death. I changed direction
and ended up making a coffee table photo book about his life. It took a
ton of time but was worth it. If you're interested to check it out just
ask me, or, and not that I would ever expect anyone to buy it, but it's

It's over 150 pages of mostly photos and some short stories about Yuki's

Ellis
turns 15 1/2 |
I figure once you hit 15, you start
celebrating half birthdays. Ellis hasn't been doing great lately but was
as spry as ever for his big day. Lots of walking, playing in the snow, and
even some swimming in southern Utah/Arizona. (photos) |

canyon. There was tons of swimming (for the dogs) and yummy steak (even
