July 7th back from Europe I'm back from visiting Ellen and have some photos and video to upload - may take a few days - sorry.
June 13th no updates for a while I'm off to Europe to meet up with Ellen - not returning until July 6th - get psyched for tons of photos and probably video when I return
June 10th quick phone call Ellen and Kate are still in Gorge de Tarn - it is AWESOME
June 8th Ellen on email Ellen FINALLY got on email today and spent most of the time reading the 727 emails that I had sent her. She did write back a bit though and re-iterated how AMAZING France is and how AMAZING the climbing is there. She and Kate are camped near this crystal clear river, just a short pleasant walk away from perfect French Limestone. Life is good.
June 8th phone call from Gorge de Tarn Ellen called this morning - she and Kate are LOVING the climbing in Gorge de Tarn- it's a bit hot but they can climb around the heat. They are both climbing well and will stay there until I arrive in Lyon on June 18th.
June 3rd phone call from Gorge de Tarn Ellen picked up Kate (from Boulder) with no problems. They are now in Gorge de Tarn and loving it.
June 2nd phone call from Ceuse Ellen got some mad phone beta from Justin - a different type of phone card - she called and we talked for 40minutes for about $5.00. Justin took off a few days ago - Ellen was climbing with some Brits that she said are hilarious to listen to talk. Climbing in Ceuse is amazing - temps perfect. Our friend Kate from Boulder arrives tomorrow for 2 months - Ellen is psyched.
June 1st phone message from Ceuse missed a phone call but got a message - had a blast climbing with Justin - he's headed home now - Ellen will spend the next few days in Ceuse climbing with a group of Brits - Kate arrives on Thursday for TWO months.
May 28th St Leger is amazing A short video of Marc's last day in France - commenting on the amazing stone (3MB)

May 26th email from Ceuse heard from Ellen - Marc and Danny have headed home - Ellen went back to Ceuse and met up with Rai and Justing from SLC - she was psyched and said she'finally' had a good day at Ceuse sending a 13a second try (even though she said it was probably really only 12d) - whatever???

May 21st phone call from Ellen ellen called at work today - one more day in St. Leger - then taking Danny and Marc to the airport for them to head home. She will then head back to Ceuse and hopefully meet up with Justin and Rai.

May 16th St. Leger Ellen called tonite and I finally got a chance to speak with her. The van is great, she's having a blast with Tom and Marc - Danny arrives tomorrow - they went to St. Leger to check it out and are LOVING it.
May 15th Ceuse got a phone message from Ellen - She, Tom and Marc were all getting BOUTED at Ceuse - it's beautiful but hard and intimidating climbing
May 11th Lyon, France Ellen called today - she loaded up the rad van and headed from Germany to France where she would pick up Marc (Hammar) and Tom Nay - they're flight was late so she was chillin' in the airport - next stop - perfect French limestone.
May 5th the van the first shots of Ellen's van. Ellen says that her relatives are being so unbelievably nice, generous and helpful regarding helping her get and set up the van - more photos to follow. Also, all of her relatives apparently think she's nuts.

April 30th Crazy German Holiday Ellen hangs with her relatives and takes part in a crazy German Holiday. EVERYONE takes the day and plans a short biking or hiking trip - Ellen and her relatives walked 12 kms to a town two towns over. Somehow I can't see everyone in the US planning a family biking or hiking trip...
April 29th Arrives in Germany

A quick email from Ellen - safe arrival in Germany and is hanging with family. Uneventful flight other than crying children for the entire flight

next step - buying a van

April 28th Ellen leaves to the airport by 4am - Ellen had a hard time saying goodbye to Ellis and Yukon
April 27th Party at the Powick's A bunch of Ellen's friends come over for Kol burgers and to wish Ellen well on her trip.
